i have my first crush and it sucks

hello today, today i am going to tell the guy i like that i like him. but the only problem is one of my friends are dating him . i told her that i was going to ask him out but that day she saw him at the library and she asked him out before i could.i got very upset and i didnt tell her i was upset because she would have said to bad i got to him first.
